SELECTMEN’S MINUTES

OLD BUSINESS:
The minutes of May 28, 2002 were approved as written, signed and will be posted to our web page.
NEW BUSINESS:
Subject: Road Agent Assistant, A J May
HIGHLIGHTS:
AJ tested the grader. He liked it. The board inquired about the service manual to verify the maintenance record.
Highway Department working on Horse Corner Road to get it prepared for paving this spring.
The Board requested that there be no smoking at the Town Garage.
Subject: Mike Paveglio & Paul Sanborn; Fire Department
HIGHLIGHTS:
Discussed painting the trim on the station.
Discussed the students in the program and how well it working in Chichester.
Verified the bid ending June 18 for the engine-one fire truck that is now in the paper.
Fire Department received the Thermal Imaging. Explained the benefits of having it in the station. Needs training to use it well as an efficient tool.
Gave verbal report from the National Fire Fighters and classes that they attended. Then discussed the other classes coming up.

HIGHLIGHTS:
Brandon inquired about the Chichester Youth Association date of next meeting.
Brandon also asked about the fuel prices and if the Board plans on bidding out. The Board explained that they had bid out and chose Rhymes. Rhymes has donated an ambulance as well as donating the fuel for the Youth Association.

HIGHLIGHTS:
Paul brought in a form letter to Green Crow Corp regarding their property to be considered for Conservation easements.

HIGHLIGHTS:
Judy was asked to research the selectman acting as Road Agent.
Discussed the furnace. Glidden, Davis, and Lee Briggs have all assessed it. They will get back to the Board.
David Colbert will not be attendance for the Board Meetings June 11 and 20. Dave will return for the June 25 Board Meeting.
